Parking Guide Chooses Your Parking Spot for You!

Written by Mostafa Dafer on . Posted in Entertainment & News, Featured

It’s frustrating having to drive around a parking garage and have to around in circles just to find a spot. What makes it especially irritating is if you’re already running late.

However, this nifty concept by Shih Chang-Chi, Huang Shao-Heng, and Wang Shou-Yu could solve that problem by reserving spaces on the fly.

Parking Guide

The Parking Guide prints your potential parking location with complete directions directly on the parking stub that you’ve been handed. It completely eliminates having to go around and around just watching for free locations. It will also spell the end of parking space fights and battles about who saw the spot first ;-).

The system would use sensors to detect what spaces are currently in use, and release them when cars depart.

However, there are some problems with the concept, as mentioned by several commenters over on Yanko Design. For one, it might guide would-be car thieves to where your car is if you happen to lose the parking stub along with your key. And there might be an error in the system if some people park crooked and the sensors improperly detect the availability (or unavailability) of a space. Or worse yet, if people ignore the tickets and just park in the first open space before you can get to your reserved spot.

Howdy! I realize this is kind of off-topic but I needed to ask.
Does operating a well-established blog like yours require a large amount of work?

I’m completely new to writing a blog but I do write in my journal daily.
I’d like to start a blog so I can easily share my personal experience and views online.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations or tips for new aspiring bloggers.
    Thankyou!
